Merry Christmas, blog readers.
The Bourne family Christmas, for the first time ever, is taking place in Phoenix, Arizona (missing Dad and Aunt Kathy, I must mention). And to further the stereotype of the unprepared male, I need to do some wrapping. The blog will be back in action Monday the 28th. Until then, I’ll be spending time with the family. Hope it’s a good one for you and yours!
Tiger Woods sits down on Santa’s lap to ask for his Christmas presents. As he sits down, Santa goes “Ho Ho Ho!”
Tiger goes “Where Where Where???”

I'm a hockey player turned writer. After playing for Alaska Anchorage in the WCHA (NCAA), I carried on with an NHL tryout (New York Islanders in 2007) before spending a couple seasons in the AHL/ECHL (last year was 2008-09). My father, Bob Bourne, won four Stanley Cups with the Islanders in the '80's, as did my fiancee's dad, Clark Gillies. I'm now the web editor for theScore's hockey blog "Backhand Shelf."
Merry Christmas Justin and thanks for the great work this year! The last minute wrapping thing isn’t just confined to men-I’m usually up most of the night wrapping our gifts!
I gave all of my friends framed portraits of me in the style of cheesy 1990s K-Mart family pictures. You just get a lame sweater, sit down and pose yourself in the most awkward to sustain position possible. And part your hair to one side. It’s hilarious, cheap, and I wrapped them in newspaper with a bottle of wine each.
As the Santa in A Christmas Story says “Ho, ho, hoooooo.” Merry Christmas all you Bourne bloggers out there. “God bless us everyone!”
Merry Christmas Justin!
