Hey, we're a dying breed, good to know there's still a couple Isles fans out there!

Thanks for reading - if I could write as well as Matt plays hockey I'd be a rich man!

Hi Justin,

you don't know me me but I work at UAA and my nephew it Matt Carle. I was talking with Derek Donald at UAA and he mentioned you have a blog. You have a real talent as a writer. Yout material is very humerous at times and interesting to read. Not to mention I am probably one of like 2 Islander fans in Alaska. Don't get me wrong, I do follow the Flyers because of Matt, but the Isles are my first love of a Hockey team. Good Luck in your Future and with those future Islander prospects.
Best Wishes to you and your family,

Don Carle

Hi Justin, We met last summer at camp where my bud Trevan was helping out with the photos. I just happened to come across your site while checking out this year's camp. Great to hear things are going well in your love life! Hope you make it in the bigs cause you're a great player and a class act. Anyways, enough sucking up; Please put in a good word for me and see if Bob needs help with photos again or anything else at camp this year. I saw him at the oldtimers game in Vancouver and had a good chuckle. Terry

Justin,

I just discovered this blog and then spent the past 4 hours reading backwards through every post and I've enjoyed every second of it. I lived a similar youth to yours (former D1 player back east, never got to play pro) and the memories some of your posts brought back were fantastic. Keep it up.

Bourney, simply amazing writing.
You have made me laugh, cringe (not very often) and laugh some more.
It's funny how many times you hear "things happen for a reason" and you wonder if it's true. Well, I think you are living proof. Through all the ups and downs in life and hockey you have maintained the same attitude and it has served you well.
How funny is it that you have crossed pathes and ended up playing with former BCHL'ers like Fordy and Ryker. Now you know why they fit the mold the coaching staff tried to develop during your playing days in V-town.
Keep up the good work and I'm now a devoted follower on the web.

Justin, Ever since you wrote your 'Predictions' for your Senior year at UAA, I knew you were destined to become a writer of note. Just what kind of note - not sure. These articles are great. Good Luck to you and Brianna. You're still on our 'Wall of Fame'.
